Our client, a prestigious asset management and advisory firm, is looking to bring on an inspired legal professional to support the legal team and General Counsel on a variety of principal investment matters. This is a newly created position due to the firm’s continued global expansion and new fund launches.

Responsibilities:
- Organize documentation around investor activity across various funds (transfers, subscriptions and redemptions, closings, etc.)
- Maintain legal files related to entity formation and dissolution process (updating internal structure charts and internal operations team members)
- Manage legal reporting deadlines for funds, drafting notices, and finalizing communications to investors (high attention to detail required)
- Track terms and obligations of various legal agreements (engagement letters, NDAs, vendor agreements, and the like)
- Track corporate actions across investment funds while maintaining legal files, coordinating final documents with portfolio companies, and logging activity
- Complete various questionnaires/KYC as requested by investors or service providers
- Coordinate share certificate deposit process with portfolio companies and relevant custodians; ensure marketing materials across the firm are reviewed by legal/compliance
- Participate in weekly legal team meetings; interact with Accounting, HR, IR and other teams throughout the firm
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of relevant experience within the asset management space is preferred, paralegal experience is helpful; bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and ability to adapt to new systems
- High attention to detail and superior organizational skills, with the ability to perform multiple functions simultaneously in an environment with deadlines
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; must be comfortable working in a team-oriented and smaller firm
- Proactive problem solver; interested in a career in a legal or regulatory compliance profession
Compensation: $95-115K base; $130-155K all-in
