Our client, a large private equity and hedge fund, is looking to bring on an ESG & Fund Counsel to join their Fund Formation Team. This position will report to Senior Fund Counsel and will work closely with the ESG team.

Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain ESG compliance program
- Stay current on all upcoming U.S. and European ESG regulatory trends
- Create and review all ESG documents, marketing materials and investor-related materials
- Supervise the preparation of fund documents; prepare agreements, diligence requests and transfers
- Contribute to the preparation of regulatory filings and other compliance forms
- Create and review internal ESG compliance policies and procedures; create internal ESG compliance training materials
- Assist with the annual review process
- Advise on any legal and compliance issues regarding fund formation and ESG initiatives
Qualifications
- JD and one to four years of legal experience at a recognized law firm or relevant in-house experience
- Significant experience focused on fund formation and private investment funds
- Solid knowledge of reporting requirements including SFDR, TCFD and EU Taxonomy; familiarity with Investment Advisers Act, Securities Act, Investment Company Act
- Strong, proactive work ethic and ability to work in a demanding environment
Compensation Range: $250k-$345K
