Paralegal (New York, NY): Our client, a successful alternative asset manager with over $20B in AUM, is searching for a bright, meticulous, and experienced paralegal to join their legal team in NYC.

  • Maintain entity documentation database and corporate minute books; draft entity formation and dissolution documentation
  • Assist with onboarding new employees and consultants (distribution of policies, receipt of initial disclosures); assist with regulatory filings, including NYSE compliance and CFTC exemption filings
  • Manage general corporate work (drafting resolutions and board meeting materials and minutes); coordinate and assist with public company filings and press release issuances
  • Respond to KYC requests from counterparties and conduct OFAC (money laundering) checks on counterparties; maintain restricted securities list
  • Assist with discovery requests arising from litigations, bankruptcies, and third‐party subpoenas; monitor information flow (data room access, expert network usage, meetings with company management)
  • Monitor process of the firm’s entities and report to appropriate personnel; track fund-level investment restrictions and side letters


  • At least 4 years of relevant corporate, transactional, or litigation paralegal experience, (compliance experience is a plus) preferably from another financial services firm or reputable law firm; bachelors degree required
  • Experience coordinating, organizing, and reviewing legal documents; demonstrated skillset creating and maintaining relevant database files
  • Excellent computer skills required (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Adobe), knowledge of Diligent or Workiva is a plus; superior verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all levels of management
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, with a keen sense of prioritizing workload and time sensitive projects
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; must be motivated, self-driven and proactive
