Compliance and Legal Paralegal:  Our client, a $3b multi strategy hedge fund is seeking a Compliance and Legal Paralegal to join their growing team in a newly created capacity.  This person will have exposure to all areas of the legal and compliance program under the GC/CCO and will work within one of the most collaborative environments in the industry.

  • Assist the Chief Compliance Officer with daily calendar and email management to prioritize incoming requests and workflow 
  • Oversee and assist with NDAs, side letters, and audit request 
  • Assist in developing, maintaining and implementing policies and procedures
  • Assist with the processing of regulatory filings 
  • Assist with legal contract and document review for current and/or potential portfolio companies, vendors and consultants (Vendor agreements, confidentiality agreements and advisor agreements); maintain and update the firm’s compliance calendar
  • Project manage and liaise with third party compliance consultants for independent onsite testing of the compliance program
  • Maintain compliance calendar and project-manage departmental initiatives
  • Assist and collaborate with compliance team members (compliance associate, sr. compliance officer and CCO) in various projects and initiatives

 Required Skills:

  • Basic knowledge and understanding of investment management and the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, and/or willingness to learn
  • Paralegal certificate is preferred, notary public is a plus 
  • Highly organized with focused attention to detail 
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong work ethic and desire to learn
  • Demonstrated interest in finance/Hedge Funds
