Paralegal (New York, NY): Our client, a successful and interesting private equity firm with over $15B in AUM, is looking to bring on a bright and driven paralegal professional to join their NYC team. This is an opportunity to lead the transition to a new vendor contract management system, as well as running several impactful projects. Responsibilities:

Spearhead and manage a new vendor contract management system, uploading all contracts (new and existing), ensuring they accurately reflect in the system and are renewed and/or terminated in a timely fashion

Point person for the transition from manual tracking of legal entitles and documents into a product and management system that will house said documents, while conducting ongoing maintenance

Once the transition is complete, responsibilities will include ensuring that the data is accurate and up to date to reflect accurate point in time data

Part and parcel with legal entity management, handling the reconciliation process for stock certificates of various investments, some with transfer agents and some with electronic systems

Assist with completing regulatory filings, maintaining the appropriate records as part of the legal entity management system

Prepare and distribute legal and IR communications to investors
Qualifications:

At least 2 years of paralegal experience from a reputable law firm or in-house at a private equity or a similar financial institution; bachelors degree with strong academic record

Deep understanding and experience with M&A, contract due diligence and legal entity formation and management; working knowledge in PE is highly preferred

Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills; comfortable working efficiently and effectively on multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Drive for excellence, teamplayer, with the ability to take initiative on new projects and seeing them through to finish
