Investor Relations Associate (New York, NY): Our client, an investment manager with private equity and real estate investments, is looking to hire a motivated and bright IR professional to join their lean yet growing team.  The individual will spend the majority of their time focusing on the private equity side of the business and be tasked with the full spectrum of investor relations activities.  This is an exceptional opportunity to support a Director of Investor Relations gaining exposure to all aspects of the business and marketing communications/investor relations functions.

  • Individual will be the 2nd hire to the Investor Relations team offering a tremendous platform to make contributions, create a name for oneself, and have visibility throughout the firm
  • Hiring manager is someone who will entrust this individual with projects, offer them autonomy to run with different initiatives, and be a tremendous mentor
  • Incredible exposure to all aspects of IR functions, this is truly an evolving role with the expectation that this individual’s responsibilities will grow as they continue on with the firm

Responsibilities:

  • Manage CRM system, importing investor data and keeping information up to date; develop and enhance its functionality and content for report generation and fund raise management  
  • Maintain and update content across materials for investor communications purposes (Fund Update Presentations and Notices, Quarterly Letters, Annual Meeting Materials, New Fund Launch Pitchbooks); collaborate with various teams throughout the organization including: accounting, operations, risk, legal and compliance
  • Track and update firm information on the website, Twitter and LinkedIn profile; coordinate conference appearances and all back-end logistics
  • Create press releases and materials as needed for different business groups within the firm (Private Equity, Transmission Development, Regulatory Affairs groups); complete due diligence questionnaires and maintain supportive documents and compliance approvals

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of relevant experience within the financial services industry (ideally Private Equity or Energy experience)
  • Bachelors degree required with a focus on Marketing, Finance or Accounting
  • Familiarity with Backstop & Intralinks is a plus; superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be extremely organized with a willingness to take initiative while working within a lean team of individuals 
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
