Compliance Associate, Central New Jersey

Compliance Associate (Central New Jersey): Our client, a reputable quantitative hedge fund, is looking to expand their compliance team with an experienced and motivated professional. This new hire will be assisting with the development and implementation of the compliance program throughout the firm.  It is a phenomenal opportunity to be a part of a successful firm, working in a newly created capacity alongside a collegial team in an entrepreneurial environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with a variety of regulatory filings (Form ADV, PF, 13F, 13H); monitor the code of ethics, utilizing an automated monitoring system
  • Support the CCO with the day-to-day compliance throughout the firm; assist with updating the firm’s compliance manual and code of ethics
  • Review of marketing materials; develop and implement compliance testing of policies and procedures
  • Maintain and administer current and new hire compliance training; keep abreast of new regulatory developments and best practices forthe firm

Qualifications:

  • 4-7 years of relevant experience in a similar compliance capacity, ideally from a registered investment advisor or compliance consulting firm
  • Bachelors degree required; JDs welcome
  • Experience with SEC regulatory requirement and filings, Investment Advisors Act and private fund rules; knowledge of CFTC rules and regulations and FACTA compliance
  • Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders within the firm; superior organizational and analytical skills with acute attention to detail
  • Must be able to handle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment; proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and G Suite
  • Knowledge of ComplySci PTCC system preferred
