Legal Assistant (New York, NY): Our client a global asset manager focused across private equity, venture capital and real estate, is looking to bring on a bright and motivated professional to join their legal team. The candidate of choice will perform a variety of paralegal and administrative duties, primarily managing all transactional documents and tasks.

  • Assist in-house attorneys with reviewing and negotiating investment related documents (purchase agreements, investor’s rights agreements, joint-venture agreements); support the General Counsel with special projects
  • Draft and edit general corporate documentation and correspondence as it relates to investments and intercompany transactions
  • Support efforts in maintaining and developing internal compliance controls related to anti-trust, AML, OFAC, and securities; spearhead legal technology developments and implement them throughout the department
  • Conduct legal research and collect relevant corporate information; maintain the firm’s internal database (Microsoft Access, Onit, SharePoint) while handling various administrative duties


  • 2 – 4 years of relevant experience, preferably within a law firm or financial services; bachelors degree is required
  • Excellent proofreading skills; solution-oriented and innovative mindset
  • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously, prioritizing workload; comfortable working autonomously
  • Superior communication skills (both written and verbal) as this position will have exposure to all levels of management; acute attention to detail with superior organizational skills
  • Must possess a professional demeanor and maintain strict confidentiality as it relates to the firm; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
