Compliance Associate, San Francisco, CA

Compliance Associate (San Francisco, CA): Our client a global investment firm with north of $30b in AUM, is eager to bring on an experienced professional to join their legal and compliance team. The candidate of choice will be assisting with ongoing administration and management of third-party contracts while providing general compliance assistance to various internal teams.

  • Person will have the opportunity to grow across all areas of the compliance program  

Responsibilities:

  • Act as primary point of contact for non-disclosure agreement related vendors, including maintenance of NDA playbook and ensuring quality of vendor output; lead in driving non-disclosure agreement processes in its entirety 
  • Assist with establishing company-wide policies, procedures and processes; facilitate the development of the firm’s contract management system, inputting key terms and organizing contracts 
  • Draft and negotiate day-to-day agreements (confidentiality agreements and contractor agreements); assist with the team’s administrative needs (track tasks and contracts, obtain approvals and signatures, assist with team workflow)
  • Field initial questions from various teams including: client, private equity, and real estate teams while escalating issues to the appropriate team members and attorneys; shadow colleagues within the team to develop strong capabilities to back up and handle other tasks as needed

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience at a similar supportive capacity within a legal or contracts management function; bachelors degree is required
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with enthusiasm and aptitude for learning more in legal and compliance
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast paced environment; ability to work collaboratively with all levels of management
  • Experience working in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint; certified Notary in California is preferred but not required
