All-Around Athlete – Title TBD (New York, NY): Our client, a successful hedge fund with over $250M in AUM, is looking to bring on an experienced operations, compliance or accounting professional to join their NYC team.  This is a newly created role to support the back office functions of a thriving hedge fund.  The individual will gain exposure to all areas of the firm’s infrastructure operations including accounting, operations, compliance, investor relations, and finance.  The new hire will report to the CFO/CCO and will be expected to work closely with various teams within the firm.

  • Assist with monthly, quarterly and annual compliance reviews for regulatory reporting
  • Assist with month-end and year-end process for all funds, reconciling firm data with fund administrator data
  • Assist the firm’s CFO with administering and reviewing all facets if the compliance program
  • Manage bank account opening process across all funds 
  • Assist with monthly portfolio analysis and reporting used in investment analysis, risk reporting, marketing materials and due diligence inquiries 
  • Perform daily trade monitoring and booking, and cash management 
  • Advise on and assist with establishing the best practices with respect to operational infrastructure
  • Coordinate with partner relations to provide data and analysis for investor reporting and presentation materials 
  • Assist with improving procedures and systems to optimize operating and accounting efficiency
  • Collect and deliver portfolio reporting to portfolio managers/investment team
  • Communicate with external prime brokers, service providers, administrators, auditors and ISDA counterparties
  • Assist with ad hoc legal, compliance, investor relations and operation needs, coordinating with internal departments, the fund administrator, counterparties, investors, vendors and other parties as required


  • 2-5 years of relevant experience with or exposure to operations, accounting, and/or compliance a plus; bachelors degree with strong academic pedigree
  • Knowledge of financial markets; proficiency with Excel required
  • High level of attention to detail and process; experience with partnership book and tax accounting
  • Must be comfortable working on time sensitive projects with an optimistic attitude and willingness to contribute; outstanding analytical, organizational, and communication skills
