Asset Management Firm

Associate, Business Development, New York, NY

Associate, Business Development (New York, NY): Our client, a dynamic asset management firm with over $10b in AUM is looking to bring on a self-starting individual to join their Business Development team. This new hire will be expected to provide support with fundraising, marketing and communication efforts, specifically working on consultant relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare due diligence and marketing materials for meetings; support senior consultant sales personnel on outreach efforts
  • Liaise with the firm’s product development and strategy team to create RFPs and RFIs; monitor and manipulate consultant databases while responding to investment searches created by consultants 
  • Manage calendar meetings, data requests and other ad-hoc duties while coordinating with external consultant sales representatives; assist with in-bound consultant requests

Qualifications:

  •  3+ years of experience working at an asset manager or investment consulting firm focusing on private assets is preferred; bachelors degree with strong academic pedigree
  • Strong sourcing skills and exceptional project management skills; ability to work under pressure with strict deadlines
  • Must be able to operate in an entrepreneurial environment; superb Microsoft skills
  • Series 7 & 63 licenses strongly preferred; attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential
