Research Assistant (Corporate Access), New Jersey OR London

Research Assistant (Corporate Access) – New Jersey OR London: Our client, a multi-billion-dollar investment manager based in Somerset County, has a newly created position on their team supporting their investment team in their evolving corporate access strategy.  This individual can be based in the firm’s New Jersey headquarters or could join their growing London office and have oversight of their corporate access process in Europe.  By working in a newly created capacity, this individual will have the opportunity to “create a name” for themselves within an extremely stable and reputable organization.

  • Ability to consistently add value to the firm’s investment process through creating positive connections and user experiences between company management teams and the firm’s investment professionals
  • Role involves combining resourcefulness, communications, relationship building and analytical skills

Responsibilities:

  • Establish processes for facilitating and executing company meetings between the firm’s investment professionals with various industry experts (one-on-one meetings, conferences, roadshows, and research calls) across specific sectors and geographies
  • Serve as the point of contact with sector-themed company management teams (CFOs, CEOs, Presidents, and Investor Relations professionals) to request meetings for investment professionals and fully coordinate logistics/details
  • Facilitate meetings through high cost brokers; coordinate with Meetyl (corporate access platform) to encourage lower cost meetings. 
  • Utilize language skills (ideally Spanish) to translate disclosed company materials, news articles and/or to transcribe meeting notes and calls. 

Qualifications:

  • Proactive, assertive individual who can communicate effectively with internal and external parties
  • Analytical skills coupled with the ability to adapt to new technology and an ability to work in a data-driven work environment
  • Fluency in two or more languages (ideally Spanish and English)
  • Related experience in corporate actions, investor relations, research, or investment banking
  • Knowledge or experience working with Tamale/Code Red; Commcise/ONEAccess preferred
