Operations Analyst/Loan Closer, New York, NY

Operations Analyst/Loan Closer (New York, NY): Our client, an established hedge fund with over $15B in AUM, is looking to bring on an operations professional to join their thriving team.  This is an exceptional opportunity to work with a longstanding fund with a strong track record on a lean team.  The role will provide this new hire the opportunity to work alongside of bright, inspired individuals and gain exposure to the accounting, trading, and senior management teams.

 Responsibilities:

  • Monitor corporate actions (stock splits, M&A, spin-offs, tender offer, dividends, debt restructurings) and communicate with Traders, Accounting and investment teams; log loan activity using Geneva
  • Manage trade and position reconciliations; maintain broke Ids, strategies, commissions and fee schedules
  • Manage new broker account requests and documentation (account forms, KYC, FINRA BrokerCheck); monitor and maintain proxy voting
  • Create valuation templates on BVAL for new OTC securities and coordinate with BVAL team on structured products valuations; work with counterparty to confirm OTC swap/CFD and bank debt trades
  • Update AUMs in Eze and distribute month end valuations from Markit and BVAL; assist accounting counterparty with monthly loan position reconciliations

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2-4 years of operations experience; loan closing skills are required for this position 
  • Experience with loan documentation review and drafting (trade confirmations, funding memos, side letters, credit agreements, etc); working knowledge using the following systems: ClearPar, Eze Castle Order Management, Markit, WSO, Bloomberg, BVAL and Geneva is a plus
  • Exposure to equities, FX forwards, options, swaps, futures and bonds; experience in corporate action processing
  • Must have an understanding of prime broker portals and reporting
