Human Resources/Recruiting Associate (New York, NY): Our client, an Asset Manager with $5b in AUM, is seeking a HR professional to join their lean team. This new hire will be supporting the Human Resources and Recruiting functions as the #2 to the head of the department. 


Key Points:

·       Newly created role, #2 to the Head of Human Resources

·       Ability to build out new processes and get involved in all areas of HR


·       Prepare job descriptions, determine position requirements, source and screen candidates, coordinate interviews, gather interview feedback, perform background checks and issue employment contracts; manage the employee off-boarding process including communicating termination information, preparing separation letters and conducting exit interviews

·       Assist with the creation, implementation and management of HR and recruiting related policies, procedures and programs; process global payroll and maintain systems with up-to-date employee information, liaise with vendors and the finance team for approvals and conducting analyses to ensure accuracy of data

·       Facilitate the performance review and feedback process including managing communications, tracking completion and maintaining records; assist with foreign benefit plan administration, review annual renewals and reconcile invoices

·       Conduct analytics to measure performance and efficiency of the team as well as staffing and engagement; deliver new hire orientation and ensure a seamless and smooth onboarding process for global new hires

·       Support the annual compensation process by participating in benchmarking surveys, conducting quality checks on data files, preparing award letters and gathering mandatory documents from employees within tight deadlines; organize training sessions and seminars with both internal and external speakers


·       Minimum of 2 years of HR experience and exposure to recruitment; bachelors degree

·       Ability to manage ambiguity and leverage resources to complete work timely and accurately; present a high level of discretion and maintains confidentiality of all sensitive matters

·       Ability to effectively communicate with individuals at various levels both within and outside of the firm; proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook) 

·       Strong organizational and project management skills; prior financial services or asset management experience preferred
